1960 Volkswagen T1 Single Cab
By owner, My buddy and I bought this VW single cab with the intention of restoring it. We were well on our way when circumstances changed and we're now forced to sell her.-Very straight body with minimal rust repair necessary.
-Transmission shifts smoothly and doesn't pop out of gear.
-New bed replacement panels (4) from Wolfsburg West included.
-New gas tank (Wolfsburg West) installed and fuel valve rebuilt.
-New tires.
-Underside has sprayed undercoating.
-I do have the fuel door. I was doing some body work on it at the time pictures were taken.
-Needs electrical redone.
-Motor is a dual port 1600cc that is nicely detailed but is leaking oil and smokes.
-Has a crack/split on the roof. It's an easy welding fix as it's a clean cut. It happened when the previous owner drove under a low pipe.
A VW like this is very rare and they're getting harder and harder to come by. This one is nicely set up to finish the restoration and with a $5K-$7k investment would easily be worth well over $30K.
